Dear Kurt Cobain, you made my preteen years bearable. You gave me an alternate way of thinking and living that formed the basis of who I am today. I’m sure you wouldn’t really give a shit about that, but I’ll never forget being 13 years old, feeling completely lost and out of place, yet taking comfort in Bleach, Nevermind, etc. always in my CD player. Not the happiest times, but definitely beautiful in an influential way.
